Introducing the RKHM Bulk Importer, a powerful tool designed to simplify and expedite the process of importing large volumes of music files into the RKHM. This feature is specifically crafted to cater to the needs of administrators, allowing them to seamlessly manage and enhance content in bulk, saving valuable time and effort

How to use?

  1. Install the `Bulk importer` plugin in your RKHM's admin area
  2. Use your preferred app/protocol to upload files & folder to ~rkhm_location/files/bulk_importer
  3. Access the plugin interface in `Admin -> Content -> Music -> Bulk importer` and click on ReSync files and wait for the app to use cronjobs to execute this task in background
  4. Refresh the plugin interface to see your files. Script will read and use files id3 meta tags and you have the ability to edit them easily within bulk importer interface
  5. After editing files, select them and click on Mark for import button
  6. Wait for RKHM to use cronjobs to import these files in background

How to edit tags?

  • To choose a single item, simply click on it in the right sidebar.
  • Hold down Ctrl (Control) and click on multiple items to select them individually.
  • Hold down Shift and click on the first and last items to select a range of items.
  • After selecting files, you have the ability to use available inputs to edit tags. Don't forget to save your changes when you were done

  • Q: Why scan/import is done in background?
  • A: The background processing is implemented to eliminate any constraints on the quantity of items you can upload or import, irrespective of your server's processing capacity.
  • Q: Do duplicated covers in ID3 tags result in separate uploads for each item?
  • A: No, in the event of duplicated images, a single image will be utilized for all tracks or albums associated with that particular image.
  • Q: What extensions can I upload?
  • A: If you have FFmpeg installed on your server & enabled in RKHM, any extension. RKHM will use FFmpeg to convert non-mp3 files to mp3. If you don't have FFmpeg, then you can only upload mp3
